About

mI’m a financial journalist and photographer living in New York.

I write about emerging markets (mostly China and India), and  the U.S. housing market for Business Insider. I also cover breaking economic data.

At Columbia University’s journalism school, I reported hyperlocal stories for The Bronx Ink. My master’s project focused on the impact music has on people with Tourette’s syndrome.

I spent two weeks reporting in Israel and Jordan for Journey to Jerusalem. You can watch some of my classmates and I talk about our experience reporting in the Middle East here.

I have also freelanced for Patch and LiveScience, and my work has appeared on MSNBC, Christian Science Monitor, Yahoo Finance, and the National Post.

Before moving to New York, I worked as a staff writer at Verve, a national monthly in India covering the cultural beat. My most memorable reporting experience was a feature on the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

I am currently reading Myth-Busting China’s Numbers by Matthew Crabbe and I love when people send me book recommendations.
